During the fall and spring semester high school students can extend their learning opportunities past the bell. Most classes meet twice a week for 3 hours.
Instead of sitting around the house all summer, incoming 10th - 12th graders and current graduates can work towards earning Carnegie credit and a $400 stipend. Students who successfully earn an industry-based certification will also receive a $100 bonus!
Who runs the world? GIRLS! Two female students from each high school spend the day learning about career opportunities for women in non-traditional careers, complete a carpentry project, and take home a special gift. Participants will be designated as female skill-craft ambassadors.
Two female students from each high school spent the day learning about careers in the automotive field. From mechanics, to auto-body technicians, a world of work is waiting for our students.
